Terms of Booking

   

SNUG ON THE BAY- HOLIDAY RENTAL AGREEMENT

When you complete your booking, you accept these rental booking terms and conditions.

1. OCCUPANCY:
No more than four people are to occupy the house. Children and infants are included within that amount. Please note that we do not supply any cot or high chair facilities.
Unfortunately, the cottage is not suitable for wheelchair users.
No sub-letting is allowed.

2. BOOKING FEE:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is taken at the time of booking. The remaining 50% will be due 6 weeks prior check-in, if this amount is not paid on time, the booking will be automatically cancelled, unless you contact us.

3. CANCELLATIONS POLICY:
Guests must contact the owner by email at stay@snugonthebay.com to give notice of cancellation.  Cancellation charges are as follows:

Bookings cancelled less than 4 weeks before start date: 50% deposit forfeited

Bookings cancelled less than 2 weeks before start date: Unfortunately not eligable for a refund.

If the stay has to be cut short : Unfortunately not eligable for a refund.

We strongly recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover any late cancellations.

4. BOOKING CHANGES:
At our discretion, dates will be transferable, subject to availability.

A request of transferring dates must be emailed to stay@snugonthebay.com at least 14 days prior to the booking and may only be done once per booking.
This excludes the 2-week period over Christmas and New Year.

5. DAMAGES & BREAKAGES:
Please us let us know about any damages/breakages as soon as possible so we can replace items in good time for the next guests; £200 pending fee will be taken at time of booking.
Damages may be charged to your booking card if:
damage was done to the property or contents other than normal wear and tear
the property requires special cleaning
items were removed from the property
there was smoking or vaping in the property
any other relevant charges and costs incurred by the owners on behalf of the guests.

6. BOOKINGS MANAGEMENT:
The house is only to be let for the period of hire confirmed at the time of booking.

7. CHECK IN:
We will contact you on the email address provided at the time of booking to confirm check in arrangements in the week prior to your arrival.
Check in is from 4pm. We operate a self-check in basis in case we are not around when you arrive, and access instructions will be sent to the email provided at booking prior to your stay.

8. CHECK OUT:
Departure by 10.00am please. This allows us to prepare the house between guests. We ask all guests to leave the house in a clean and tidy condition. Can we also request that you load and turn on the dishwasher.

9. SERVICES:
Wi-fi, smart TV, linens / bedding, towels, toiletries, and duvet are all included. Electricity for the house is included. Logs, kindling and firelighters will be provided.

10. ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING:
EV charging at the property must be with the dedicated go zero charger provided. If you will require use of the charging port we ask that you inform us before your stay and you will be provided with the access code.

11. PETS:
We want your stay to be enjoyable for everyone, including your furry companions! Snug on the bay is dog friendly and can allow up to two well behaved dogs. We do ask that you are respectful, please keep dogs off all beds and furniture and try to avoid bringing mud and dirt into the house. Dogs must be house trained and supervised at all times. They are not to be left alone inside the property unless safely crated. The garden is fully enclosed, but please supervise your dogs when outside. Dogs must not be allowed to bark excessively, escape the property or disturb neighboring homes. We kindly ask that all guests pick up after their dogs both inside and outside to keep the area clean and pleasant for everyone. We will provide dog bowls and a dog towel for the duration of the stay.
There will be a charge of £10 per dog per night which will be added at time of booking.

12. WASTE/RECYCLING
Following the highland councils recycling program, all recycling must be split into categories. We have provided divided waste bins within the kitchen and you are required to split your waste accordingly.

13. SMOKING/VAPING:
Smoking or vaping is not permitted in the property. If smoking outdoors, then please ensure that cigarettes are properly extinguished and disposed of carefully in bucket provided.

14. LIABILITY:
The owners accept no liability for any death, personal injury, loss or damage of guest’s personal property while staying at Snug on the Bay. Nor can the owners be held responsible for any circumstances beyond their control including, but not limited to, mechanical breakdown, bad weather, failure of any public or private service supply, or illness. The use of the property, its contents and the hot tub is entirely at guests’ risk. We recommend you are covered by travel insurance for your holiday.

15. RIGHT OF ENTRY:
We reserve the right of entry to the property at any reasonable time for maintenance, repairs or inspection. We will contact you if this is required during your stay.

15. CONTRACT:
The rental contract is between the paying client and the owner of the house.

16. COMPLAINTS AND SUGGESTIONS:
Please let us know if you have any complaints or suggestions about Snug on the Bay as soon as possible so we can try and rectify this immediately.
